A Pup and the Moon

So I'm house sitting right now and taking care of a sweet Golden Retriever named Harley. He is VERY well behaved and fun to take pictures of. Some of "my pets" shy away from the camera, but he generally just looks at me as if he's thinking "what is that thing you are holding and why is it pointed at me?" Or, as in this photo, "another picture?"

This week we also had an AWESOME full moon. The other night I hopped in my car and went up to my church parking lot for a clear view of the moon (literally around the corner and UP the street from where I'm house sitting....UP is the reason I drove instead of walking LOL). Actually got some photos than I'm a bit proud of and thought I'd share it.

I went back to work today, after being off for what seemed like forever. I figured it out and in a 15 day period, I worked a whole 2 days. Today was super easy but I still feel like crap. Back to work tomorrow, hoping it goes a bit better.

"Resting & Relaxing & Healing"

Under doctors orders to rest & relax to allow myself to heal....so I've started a movie marathon! The EXTENDED versions of Lord of the Rings :-D Watching on a giant flat screen TV with great surround sound...I'm a happy girl! Will be the best viewing of them ever! I also have the 3 Pirates of the Caribbean movies to watch.

On a "meh" note...back at the doctors today & they repacked me again, so I have to return on Monday, but they made me an appointment **happy dance** Though when she packed it, left quite a bit of a tail of the packing stuff & everytime I moved it hurt, so just re-covered it after trimming the tail a bit. Also was able to get some of the Darvocet...didn't make me sick (yippee) though not quite sure how it's working on the pain, still trying to decide LOL

Fun & Not So Fun

My favorite cousins are in town for a Tiki event and they made some time for mom and I yesterday :) We had a picnic up at Presidio Park Junipero Serra Museum. It was fun just sitting and chatting...it's been a year since we've seen them. I also took some photos for them, which was a lot of fun 'cause they are just goofy!!!

Then today I got to go back to the doctors (3rd visit in a week @ $35 a visit) and they decided to lance the infected area and "squeeze" the 'stuff' out. Yeah, just as pleasant as it sounds LOL I am now sitting in bed, trying not to move and trying to stay cool. My side hurts like hell, and I spent too much time crying so my head hurts too LOL Good thing (though bad for my wallet) is that I have a doctors note to stay home until Monday...so I get to sit and do NOTHING until then (well, and go to the doctor again tomorrow).

To end on another GOOD/FUN thing...I start house sitting tomorrow! It's a 10 day stay with a super sweet and well behaved golden retriever named Harley, an attic/whole house fan to use at night, and A/C if needed during the day.

Thanks for putting up with a bit of whining today LOL Hope you like the photos of my cousins...there will probably be some of Harley in the next few days.
