1st photo hunt

After being here for 2 months I have finally ventured out on a Photo Hunt! I found a place that is just under 12 miles away from the house, it's free to get into, and it was fun! While I was there I met 3 ladies who also had cameras with them and were "birding". Seeing them together made me REALLY wish Autumn was with me 'cause it was one of those places that we would go to together and spend hours.

The place is called Circle B Bar Preserve and is run by the Southwest Florida Water Management District which made me think of mom and Lake Murray. There were a ton of different birds, a million dragonflies, a section of the path had a bunch of super big and scary spiders (though at the same time they were kind of cool...the females are the giant ones and the males are tiny and look nothing like the females. There were trees dripping with Spanish Moss and ones that looked bare and dead that reflected the rising sun.

It was nice to get out and walk with my camera this morning. The weather has cooled off a bit, especially in the evening and early morning. And early it was LOL I left the house at 6:30am. Next time I want to leave even earlier to catch more of the pre-dawn light and not just the sunrise. As usual I have posted my photos to flickr. I still haven't gotten my camera cleaned, so please forgive the gunk you can see in some of the shots that have sky in them, as it seems those are the ones when you can see the dirt the most.
